I am currently working as a User Experience Consultant at Flow Interactive.
Previously I was a Research Associate at MIT’s Media Lab Europe
in the Human Connectedness
Group. While there I undertook a project entitled Aura that addressed
visceral communication between separated couples. This project straddles
areas such as Affective Computing, Awareness Systems and Presence. Aura
was presented at the CHI 2005, pre-proceedings workshop on Awareness Systems.
I ended my time at MLE when it was closed in January 2005.
I undertook her MA in Interaction Design at the RCA, where I investigated
areas such as experience, ‘open’ design, and explicit technology.
I have a B. des in Industrial Design from the National College of Art
and Design in Dublin. I finished with two projects addressing areas
of sustainability and inclusive design both of which were resolved with
direct commercial implementation in mind. |
